Africa: Trade (1450-1750)

Trade during this period for Africa was booming. Most empires and kingdoms wanted to be set up along the coast known as the Gold Coast for this reason. Trade mostly consisted on slaves and gold being exported from Africa and in return the empires or kingdoms would receive new technology, mostly things related to weapons such as guns and gunpowder. This was especially common in the rival kingdoms that were at war in this time period, many even traded away their own people as slaves.
